Support The Jane Goodall Act
The future is looking brighter for captive wild animals in Canada. The Jane Goodall Act was just reintroduced in the Canadian Senate, which will greatly restrict the captivity of elephants, great apes, big cats, and many more exotic species. This is a tremendous step forward for exotic animals, who suffer when they're caged in unnatural conditions in zoos and aquariums.
Eliminating the captivity of many wild animals could help shut down cruel roadside zoos and circuses.
This exciting legislation will also grant some animals limited legal standing in court, which will remove barriers that animals face to accessing justice.
