Help Send Suffering Marineland Whales & Dolphins to Sanctuaries

Captive beluga whales and dolphins are suffering and dying in tanks at Marineland in Ontario, Canada—the last place in the country that still confines these majestic marine mammals.

The park has faced over a dozen provincial and criminal animal cruelty charges in recent years. Despite this troubling history, prosecutors have mostly dropped the charges and no cases have yet gone to trial—sending a clear message that zoos and aquariums can get away with illegal activity.

Meanwhile, provincial authorities have ignored numerous legal complaints filed by Animal Justice about the suffering of whales and dolphins—even though more than a dozen whales and dolphins have died at Marineland since 2019, including orca Kiska. She was known as one of the loneliest orcas in the world, spent more than a decade in solitary confinement, and was even filmed banging her head and body against the side of her tank.

Law enforcement and prosecutors have failed the animals confined at Marineland. Join us in urging the government to step in to help send them to sanctuaries!
