Whales and Dolphins Are STILL Suffering at Marineland - Take Action!

Beluga whales, dolphins, and a solitary orca named Kiska are all still suffering at Marineland in Ontario, Canada—the last place in the country that still confines whales and dolphins.

It has been a criminal offence since 2019 to use whales and dolphins in performances for entertainment, after Animal Justice, our supporters, and partner groups helped pass groundbreaking national laws to phase out whale and dolphin captivity. Yet despite the ban on entertainment performances, Marineland was caught on camera continuing to use animals in daily shows in front of audiences, where dolphins performed tricks for the amusement of the audience.

Animal Justice reported the performances to the police, and Marineland is now facing a criminal animal cruelty charge. And after shocking new footage revealed that the performances are still ongoing at the facility, our lawyers swiftly filed a follow-up report with authorities.

But it’s not just illegal performances we’re concerned about at Marineland. Marineland is being monitored over the welfare of lone orca Kiska after Animal Justice lawyers submitted a legal complaint regarding shocking new videos of her floating listlessly and slamming her body against the wall of her tank.
