Whales & Dolphins Are Suffering at Marineland - Take Action!
Captive beluga whales and dolphins are suffering in tanks at Marineland in Ontario, Canada—the last place in the country that still confines these majestic marine mammals.
It has been a criminal offence since 2019 to use whales and dolphins in performances for entertainment, after Animal Justice, our supporters, and partner groups helped pass groundbreaking national laws to phase out whale and dolphin captivity. Yet despite the ban on entertainment performances, Marineland was caught on camera continuing to use animals in daily shows in front of audiences, where dolphins performed demeaning tricks.
The footage led to a criminal charge against the marine park—which crown prosecutors subsequently dropped. It’s unacceptable that prosecutors refuse to take animal cruelty seriously and bring Marineland to trial.
Whales and dolphins belong in the ocean, not in captivity for our entertainment. Sign the petition if you agree!
