Two minks in cage on Quebec fur farm

Ask Quebec to Ban Cruel Fur Farms

Disturbing undercover images released by Animal Justice reveal foxes confined in small, barren wire cages, and minks kept in filthy, intensive conditions at two of Quebec’s last three fur farms.

Fur farming is virtually unregulated in Quebec, with no mandatory licenses, permits, or standards of care. The cramped, barren wire cages that these foxes and minks are confined in for their entire lives deprive them of the ability to fulfill nearly every biological need. It’s standard in the fur industry to gas minks to death, and to kill foxes by anal electrocution. Fur is also a dying industry, with nearly 90% of Quebec’s fur farms closing over the past decade. British Columbia recently joined many countries around the world in banning mink farming, because of the animal cruelty and public health concerns caused by fur farms.

Foxes and minks belong in the wild, not kept in captivity and killed for their fur. Sign the petition if you agree!
