Call for Charges Over Fish Abuse at Salmon Farm

Animal Justice has filed an animal cruelty complaint after a Nova Scotia fish farm was caught on video abusing fishes.

At Sustainable Blue, a land-based salmon farm in Nova Scotia, one worker violently stomped on a fish, and a supervisor bashed two fishes to death by slamming them against the side of a tank—including one fish who was pregnant.

Fishes are sentient beings, and it’s illegal to subject them to abuse. Animal Justice is urging authorities to investigate this blatant abuse at Sustainable Blue and to hold the company accountable.
