Call on New Government to Pass Strong Laws for Animals

Canada has elected a new Parliament, bringing major opportunities to help animals. Many animal-friendly MPs were re-elected, and the new government led by Prime Minister Mark Carney now has a chance to champion critical animal protection issues.

Before the election was called, Canada was on the verge of major breakthroughs: banning live horse exports for slaughter, outlawing cruel captivity of elephants and great apes, and investing in cruelty-free science. It’s now critically important to pick up where we left off, and push even harder to fix Canada’s badly outdated animal laws.

Please send a message to your Member of Parliament, asking them to swiftly pass new laws to give animals the legal protections they desperately need!
