York University Must END Cruel Primate Experiments

An undercover investigation by Last Chance for Animals has exposed disturbing suffering inside a primate research lab at York University in Toronto—including monkeys with gruesome, oozing brain implants.

Macaques were subjected to highly invasive experiments, including craniotomies, outdated eye-coil implants, and brain implants. Footage shows monkeys repeatedly pacing and swaying in their tiny metal cages, scratching at their implants, struggling to swallow in their tight collar restraints, and even drinking their own urine due to severe water deprivation. Some of the monkeys have been caged in the lab for up to 17 years.

Urge York University to shut down its primate lab, transition to modern, non-animal research methods, and ensure the surviving monkeys are released to sanctuaries.
