Uphold Canadian Laws: Tell US & Spanish Aquariums NOT to Breed Marineland Whales & Dolphins

Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario is shipping its surviving beluga whales and dolphins to aquariums in the US and Spain. Canadian and US officials recently approved the transfers after the now-for-sale park threatened to kill all of its remaining whales.

Instead of working together to retire these long-suffering animals to a seaside sanctuary, Marineland and government officials are simply moving them from one tank to another.

At least some aquariums plan to breed the belugas, and the Canadian government hasn’t prohibited them from doing so as a permit condition.

Canada banned the breeding of captive whales and dolphins to end whale captivity. This generation was supposed to be the last forced to suffer in tanks. Without no-breeding rules in the permits, Canada risks perpetuating the very cycle of captivity it set out to end.

Tell the US and Spanish aquariums receiving Marineland's whales and dolphins: Don't breed them. Let this generation be the last!
