Tell Ontario Labs: Rehome Dogs & Cats—Don’t Kill Them!

Tell Ontario Labs: Rehome Dogs & Cats—Don’t Kill Them!

On January 1, 2027, Ontario’s historic ban on invasive medical experiments on dogs and cats will take effect. As the deadline approaches, labs have a duty to rehome surviving animals.

Animal Justice is aware of four testing labs in Ontario that have recently experimented on dogs or cats.

We reached out to these labs, urging them to have compassion and commit to rehoming any dogs and cats before the January 1 deadline, and offered to help. Many refused to meet, or to commit to a rehoming plan.

Take action now. Keep pressure on labs to rehome the dogs and/or cats in their facilities instead of killing them before the Ontario law takes effect.
